Buds, we’re firmly into 2026 and so far it’s shaping up to be a really nice year. I was saying to Devo this is sort of our “planting seeds time”.🌱 Then it’s fun to watch those seeds grow and bloom in the coming year.🌷

I’m not a huge Valentine’s day person but I’ll never say no to a little extra love. 💝

This year we’ll be spreading the ABM love at Fest du Voyager! All our Winnipeg pals keep telling us how special this one is, we’re jazzed. Funny story, we actually met the booker in JAPAN of all places. He saw us perform at this wicked club in Osaka and BAM💥 now we’re on the bill. Music is cool 😎

If you have buds in Winnipeg please tell them our set is at 8:30 on Feb 14th. We’d love to meet all the pals. ⭐️

We also had a fabulous time at Wintersong! We met so many new pals there and we warmed up our dancing shoes in -20 weather!🥶 Here’s a clip of a brand new tune we debuted!🎸

Huge thanks to Kevin and the folks that had us this year. Its funny, Wintersong 2 years ago was really the big kick off for ABM and look how much has happened since then! Wild maaaaan.😅

As for summer plans, we’re coming back to Edmonton in July!☀️ We’ll be playing Pembina River Nights.

We’re playing SUMMERFEST this year!!! It’s an absolutely massive festival in Milwaukee and we’re so excited about touring in the USA. A little nervous for sure, but really pumped to be dipping our toes into a new market. 🤩

We’ll be there June 20th, I’ll give you more info as it comes but I wanted you to be the first to know! Summer is shaping up nicely.

Welp…it took me at least a week to get over the jet lag. I slept for 16 hours when we got home. The flight was 14.5 hours, 😅 but totally worth it!!

Here are the top 5 things we loved most about Japan:

1. The FOOD 🍜🍱🐙 Ramen, Udon, Soba, Sushi, Okonomiyaki, Takoyaki…

   oh, and the 7/11 snacks. Seriously they’re no joke.

2. The cleanliness.🧼 Did you know there are no public garbages in Japan? We learned to bring a little bag with us to enjoy our treats. It takes some getting used to but the payoff is there’s no garbage everywhere and that’s very nice.

3. The People! 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 So nice, so polite, and they know how to rock!

4. The Public Peace. ☮️ There’s a social custom in Japan where everyone is entitled to a peaceful day. You’ll notice this especially on trains, busses, in restaurants, and on the streets. 🤫

5. Shinkansen 🚄 The Bullet Trains! These are truly the way to travel. They go over 300km/h!! Japan has an amazing program where if you’re from another country you can get a “rail pass” and travel all over for much cheaper than the regular price. Highly recommend.

Bonus: Everyone plays the best guitars over there. 🎸 No matter what style or how proficient the artist, they had amazing vintage guitars. Very cool.

Can you believe we played 53 shows this year?! 🤘🏻 That includes radio performances and the like, but still! Very proud of our little band, and it’s mostly thanks to you folks.

We don’t do Spotify because… *gestures to everything* so we’ll just say that our numbers grew about %1000, and our album was streamed almost 100K times!!! That’s huge, so thanks. 💛🙏🏻

Speaking of our album it’s Bandcamp Friday today (Dec 5th).

That means Bandcamp waves their take home fees and gives all proceeds to us. If you feel so inclined, use abmholiday at checkout for a 10% discount on the vinyl for the holidays.

Dev and I stayed in BC for a few days and hung out with our pals Hyaenas in Vancouver. We dipped in the pacific🌊, enjoyed some pride events🌈, and watched a magical west coast sun set.🌅

Dev and I did something very “Toronto” and went to the Jay’s game the other day. We won! Which was awesome, the only regret was not getting the foot long hot dog 🌭

We had a absolute blast in Nova Scotia, We kayaked 🚣🏻‍♂️, beached, and of course indulged in the local delicacies like lobster 🦞 and Pictou County Pizza.🍕
